Markets in Westminster

There are six markets in Westminster which require a street trading licence to trade, including privately run Farmer's Markets.

Church Street NW8

The Church Street Market Green Spine consultation ran from 26 October until 23 November 2020. Read the consultation letter.

  • About: Church Street is Westminster’s largest market flanked by cafes and shops, serving one of London’s most multi-cultural neighbourhoods with a diverse range of traditional products and on the Lisson Grove end of the market is London’s most famous antique’s quarter.
  • Times: the market operates Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 6pm
  • Location: View on map
  • Commodities: Fresh food, flowers and plants, household goods, bags, clothing, shoes, delicatessen and international take away food

We are no longer accepting applications for temporary licences on Saturdays. You can submit an application for Monday to Friday trading. Please note that applications for food are restricted to specific areas. Please check the register below applying.

We are accepting variations to permanent licences (except on Saturdays). We would encourage you to consider trading on a casual licence (non-food only).
