Who are WE*

We logo

WE* is part of the Westminster Employment Service (WES) and supports adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities in finding paid or voluntary employment or work experience placements in a person-centred way. Individuals are supported to produce an accessible action plan to support their aspirations for employment.

Subsidised Employment Fund

The Subsidised Employment Fund is offered to employers based in Westminster to help create new jobs for Westminster adults with learning difficulties, who are neurodivergent, or whose physical disabilities act as a barrier to employment.

WE* will fund half the London Living Wage salary and 50% of National Insurance costs for up to 12 months, based on an eight or 16 hour working week.

Employers will be offered training, a support package of up to 13 weeks of job coaching, and ongoing advice and guidance.

We will:

  • offer one-to-one support for those employed.

  • identify and suggest any reasonable adjustments that could be made
