Parsons North development

In 2017 planning approval was given for a new development to deliver 60 new homes, of which 19 are affordable, by summer 2021 on the Hall Place estate.

The new homes will be part of the council’s goal to deliver 1850 new affordable homes by 2023.

Parsons North will deliver:

  • 19 new affordable homes (for the local community)
  • Improved communal space for Parsons House
  • New retail space on the Edgware Road
  • A new environment for residents to enjoy  

The development is set to be completed by Spring 2021.

Improvements to Parsons House

As part of the development we are investing in improvements to the Parsons House lobby, entrance and residents’ room. In addition, we will be improving the landscaping in front of Parsons House for the benefit of all residents and the local community.

If you live in the area and would like to see our ideas, please visit our upcoming drop-in session where you can speak to a member of our project team and share your thoughts on our proposals. 

Project progress

  • 15 May 2019 - gas diversion work to Parsons House
  • 28 May 2019 - piling begins on the garage site
  • 13 August 2019 - excavation of existing basement floor completed
  • 21 August 2019 - ground breaking ceremony
  • 10 December 2019 - tower crane erected
  • 11 December 2019 - new basement floor installed at a lower level than the existing one

Section 105 of the Housing Act (1985) requires the council to consult specifically with secure tenants where development or housing management proposals include new programmes of maintenance, improvement or demolition or a change in the landlord’s practice or policy that are likely to affect secure tenants. We are therefore providing secure tenants with an additional opportunity to provide feedback by Thursday 12 March 2020.
