We are looking for Westminster residents to help us shape and improve policies and services. We are committed to actively involving residents and service users to help shape decisions and contribute to the development of services, plans and programmes alongside council officers and local councillors.
The Register of Active Residents will allow us to tap into the rich community assets we have. Your local knowledge, lived experiences and skills to aid us with recruitment processes, resident panels, focus groups, decision making and co-design activities.

I’m chairman of my resident’s association. That’s principally how I got involved with the council. I’ve joined a number of panels, more from a desire to see things change and get some things done.
It’s a case of trying to match the housing services agenda with the residents’ agenda, and looking to shape things going forwards.

The decision that the council makes have a direct impact on all of Westminster’s residents, so it’s important that the community is heard through Youth Council, through other panels so that the community has their voice on policy, and that changes can be made that benefit them.

There are over 2000 free courses for you to choose from, and you can tailor your learning to suit what you would like to develop.

Westminster is where my home is, and so what goes on in Westminster matters to me. If the council want to know about what matters to the people who live in Westminster it’s time for us to engage with the council and say what we think.

- Build community spirit on your estate and represent your neighbours by joining your local Residents’ Association
- Get involved and have your say at our Westminster Together community conversations
- Sign up to be a member of our Resident Research Panel, a pool of residents who are invited to review and feedback on council policies and projects
