Our Community Researchers programme aims to empower local people over the age of 16 to take an active role in helping identify key issues within their communities and work with us to co-produce solutions.

The programme is based on the belief that local people know their areas better than anyone else and can help us greater understand our residents' lives to help improve the services we offer.

Through the programme, we train community members to gather insights, conduct research, and relay valuable information that informs council decisions and policies.

“I enjoy being a Community Researcher and love meeting new people and learning new things about myself and my work.”

Why become a Community Researcher?

Through our workshops, discussions and by engaging in real-life scenarios, our Community Researchers gain essential skills including:

  1. Gaining valuable experience: Build practical work experience that can support your career growth.
  2. Earn rewards: Receive recognition and vouchers for your contributions.
  3. Make a difference: Take an active role in addressing community issues and driving positive change.

''It is a great opportunity for those who worked for the first time to boost their confidence level. Thanks for this opportunity. Looking forward to doing more with Westminster Council.''
