There are plans to set up set up a University of the Third Age (U3A) in Westminster.
The U3A allows members to further their education and interests through self-help group learning. It is run by the members for the members.
There are over 1,000 U3As in the UK with more than 400,000 members participating in education, activity and interest groups, with the subjects, timetable and content decided by members. Popular groups in other U3As include history, languages, computers, theatre and walking.
