Emergency works to heating and hot water grant
This grant covers works necessary to repair or replace the existing hot water or space heating provision.
It's means tested and the maximum grant is £4,000 in any one financial year. The maximum payable is £6,000 over a 5 year period.
People who are eligible to apply:
- an owner or occupier
- a private tenant with repairing obligations
The person must be:
- 60 years or more or be a parent/guardian of a child under 16 years
- receiving benefits*
- using the premises as their main or only residence
- lacking adequate space heating or hot water provision
