Climate Action Community Open Days

On 13 November we held our first Climate Action community event, where residents and local organisations could share ideas on how to be more sustainable. It was great to see so many people there, learning about everything from food sharing, to making homes more energy efficient, cycle training, community action and much more.

We’ll be organising more of these community open days in the New Year. Keep an eye on this webpage for details or sign up to our environment newsletter.

Exhibition - Climate Action in Schools

In September, we invited primary schools and young students in Westminster to get involved in tackling climate change. Students across Westminster took part in a competition, showcasing actions they were taking to cut emissions or raise awareness of the climate emergency.

Come along and visit the exhibition in Westminster Libraries and be inspired by the new generation of environmental leaders.

Date of exhibitions:

  • Mayfair Library:  Mon 17 to Sat 22 Jan
  • Church Street Library: Mon 24 to Sat 29 January
  • Paddington Library: Mon 31 Jan to Sun 6 Feb
  • Victoria Library: Mon 7 to Sat 19 Feb

All exhibitions are free. See library opening hours.

This Open Forum will take place both online and in-person and we are focusing a large part of the discussion on the theme of a greener and cleaner Westminster. We are keen to discuss our work to address the climate emergency, air quality, recycling, and other environmental issues that affect your life in Westminster.
