Information for residents and businesses
Impact of the scheme
The scheme has been designed to try and minimise any impact to residents, local businesses and everyone who visits Westminster each day. Over 200 carriageway and footway locations have been identified to be repurposed as part of this scheme, including a mixture of under-used resident parking bays and pay-to-park bays, as well as sections of single and double yellow lines.
How were the bays selected?
Our priority when establishing this network was to make sure our pavements were no longer cluttered by dumped dockless bikes. There are many different types of kerbside uses in Westminster, and a careful criteria list was developed to ensure value for money for the resources we have dedicated for this scheme.
