All businesses generate waste, no matter how little this might be. There is a legal duty of care on anyone who produces or handles commercial waste to have a valid waste transfer note.

I bring my commercial waste home with me

Commercial waste cannot be disposed of at home, for example in residential waste bins. Your business is legally obligated to use registered waste carrier, such as the City Council,  that collects your commercial waste. You will also need a waste carriers licence in order to transport your own commercial waste.

I dispose of my commercial waste myself at a licensed waste transfer station or waste disposal facility

You will need to provide the officer who served you the Notice with a copy of the waste transfer note(s) issued by the site you took your waste to as well, as the receipt(s) issued which must show how much and what types of waste you delivered here. Please note you will need a waste carriers licence in order to deliver your own waste to a waste transfer station or waste disposal facility.
