Statements on Affordable Housing Policy

We require affordable housing contributions based on total (gross) residential floorspace.

The following documents explain how existing planning policies will be applied and how developments should meet our affordable housing policies.

This note sets out how we will apply our affordable housing policy and how payments in lieu are calculated.

Please note: Gross Internal Area is now used for the calculations and the per unit sum figures stated in the Interim Note are out of date. The correct figures are given below.

The 'per unit sum' figure is currently £304,000 (and £406,000 in the designated higher value areas) as of 1 April 2016.
