Maida Hill Market improvement works

We are carrying out essential repairs to Maida Hill Market Square. These changes will help transform residents’ everyday experience of this important public space. These improvements are being funded by the Greater London Authority's Good Growth Fund.

Improvements to the square

Pedestrian priority:

• reduced access for motor vehicles
• cycle route facility from Elgin Avenue to Walterton Road

Landscape improvements:

• new areas of planting, including trees
• improved sustainable drainage system

Accessible for all:

• new toilet facilities
• new lighting columns

Space for a range of activities:

• new seating
• new market pitches with electric connections
• flexible space for community events

Construction timeline

Late September to November 2023:

• construction works to address drainage issues

January to late 2024:

• main construction works
