Westminster’s iconic street signs feature world-famous destinations including Oxford Street, Regent Street, Baker Street, Shaftesbury Avenue and Abbey Road.
The iconic enamel signs were designed by architect and designer, Sir Misha Black OBE, in 1967 and have since become synonymous with central London and recognisable across the world. They feature a red and black letter typeface unique to the City of Westminster.
Westminster City Council owns the copyright to the red and black signs. If you want to feature the Westminster street name plate on your product, you must apply for a license which is based on royalty charges. A fee is payable, as a percentage of sales.
