Team Westminster programmes

Team Westminster makes it easy to give your time, find volunteering opportunities and do great things for your borough.

Team Westminster Active for organisation

Team Westminster Active can support your sports or physical activity organisations and events to find volunteers. We can also provide training to help you manage, retain and develop your volunteers.

Our training is totally free of charge but we want to ensure it's useful for you. Tell us what training would help you by filling out our survey.

For organisations

  1. Register online - add your name, email address and create a password.
  2. Search for your organisation.
  3. If your organisation has not been registered, continue to fill out the form and submit.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email to your registered email address allowing you to manage your roles and contact volunteers! If you have not heard from us 24 hours after receiving your confirmation email, then please contact us.

Further support

We can also support organisations in other ways, including:

  • advice on procedures and policies to protect and guide you and your volunteers
  • volunteer management training
  • training for your volunteers
  • networking and community-building events such as the Volunteer Coordinators' Forum
  • DBS checks (if required)
  • funding to gain coaching qualifications
  • support to gain the Active Westminster Mark certification

You can also attend an organisation support surgery to meet with our coordinator to talk to us about any of your volunteering needs or to find out how we can support you. Surgeries take place every alternate Thursday at Westminster Sports Unit, Paddington Recreation Ground, Randolph Avenue, Maida Vale W9 1PD. It is essential that you book on Eventbrite.

Don't forget to sign up to our newsletter full of training opportunities, events and funding. We won't share your details with anyone else and you can unsubscribe at any time.

The next Volunteer Coordinators' Forum will take place in the next few months. Email us to register your interest.
