Westminster’s libraries and the Archives Centre are offering a reduced service under the new national lockdown measures, in line with Government guidance.
The following libraries will be temporarily closed for 3 weeks:
- Mayfair Library
- Victoria Library
- Westminster Reference Library
- Westminster Archives Centre will only be open on Tuesdays, 10am to 6pm
The rest of our libraries will remain open to provide:
- select and collect services for collecting reservations and returning library item
- access to computers for essential use
There will be no access to other areas of the libraries including study spaces during this time. Please note that Paddington Children's Library and Westminster Music Library are still closed.
We have increased hygiene and social distancing measures in place to ensure library visitors can safely access our services. Visitors to the libraries will be asked to observe the Government’s guidelines on face coverings and social distancing. We are also participating in NHS Test and Trace.
Returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours. Library items on loan will continue to be automatically renewed and there will be no overdue or reservation charges during this period. Any account which has been suspended will be temporarily reinstated to ensure everyone can access the library items they need.
