We are the largest licensing authority in the United Kingdom. We receive and process in excess of 9,000 licence applications per year, and issue licences and other permissions under the provisions of numerous different statutory licensing regimes. The team consists of over 14 experienced licensing practitioners.

The licensing team manages the vast majority of licensing regimes that the council is responsible for. The team also acts as a responsible authority for alcohol, entertainment, late night refreshment and gambling premises licences.
