Young voices

Our youth advocate team is here to help provide opportunities, listen to your views, and act on what you tell us.

Young people represent around 40% of the residents living in Westminster Housing. Our youth advocate team is here to help provide opportunities, listen to your views, and act on what you tell us.

Three key areas

Sport on estates

We ensure estate sports pitches are well maintained, and fund free, high-quality sports training on our pitches.

Youth clubs and activities

We fund youth clubs and hubs offering activities that young people tell us they want. This includes mentoring, dance, cooking, photography and lots of other activities.

Listening to young people

We have been developing Youth Voice groups to hear the views of young people living on our estates.

This year, groups are being developed in partnership with Churchill Gardens and Feathers Youth Hub and are for young people aged 11-19yrs (up to 25yrs for children and young people with a disability or SEND).

Find out about opportunities for young people

Many young people we speak to say they have no idea about what is available to them, and they don’t know where to look. There are a wide range of activities and fantastic opportunities for young people across the City. We have put them all together in a regular, handy e-newsletter. Young people came up with the name ‘news4youth’.

In each edition you can find out about opportunities for arts, training programmes, free activities, holiday programmes, offers and opportunities.
