Criteria for weekly activity

The regular, ideally weekly, activity must be designed for residents of Westminster, and delivered in Westminster:

The activities may include: 

  • a group or team physical activity 
  • an activity to reduce social isolation, which might include peer support and skills development, like gardening, growing food, sewing, cooking, repairs, IT, local trips on foot, and so on
  • an activity to support healthy eating habits, which can include healthy cook and eat sessions, culturally-competent nutrition advice, projects to help purchase affordable healthy food, or enjoy a free, healthy meal or snack together, and so on
  • activities to support emotional wellbeing, this could involve one-to-one emotional support to community members or group support 
  • peer support groups, or one to one support around achieving a public health outcome such as healthy weight, smoking cessation, reducing alcohol consumption  

Activities should occupy a minimum of two to three hours per week, combined or split out.
