What happens next

Processing applications

To process an application, it takes:

  • 7 days for applicants who qualify automatically
  • 6 to 8 weeks for applicants who require an assessment. You will be contacted by an occupational therapist if necessary.

Validity of badge

White Badges last:

  • 3 years for residents (We'll request an annual declaration to confirm your details haven’t changed)
  • 2 years for resident children under 12
  • 12 months for non-residents employed or studying in Westminster (White Badges only)

We'll send you a letter to remind you that your badge is due to expire about 2 months before the expiry date. You will need to re-apply and submit all requested proof documents with your application. 

Blue Badges last for 3 years.
