Past highlights

  • This year's Meet the Charity event was held on 4 November 2024. Over 150 attendees from responsible businesses and community organisations had the opportunity to network and make powerful and purposeful connections. The focus of this year's event was on the rising cost of living affecting Westminster residents.
  • “Meet the Charity” event held on 8 November 2023 in response to the cost of living crisis. The aim for the event was to build a stronger volunteering  community sector, bring new charities and businesses together, with a particular focus on food pantries, fuel banks and school uniform banks.
  • In partnership with One Westminster, the Business Community Partnerships team delivered a successful ‘Meet the Charity’ event in November 2022. The aim of the event was to encourage corporate businesses, as part of their CSR agendas, and council suppliers to dedicate sponsorship to community initiatives brokered by various charities across the city.
  • December 2022, 'Festive Cheers' has sponsored 1,000 Christmas hampers for winter. Over the past three years, 'Festive Cheers' has now co-ordinated the delivery of 2,635 hampers to elderly isolated residents and 1,230 Christmas vouchers to families in need, care leavers and looked after children via a pooled contribution.
  • April 2021 to March 2022: 'Time and Talents', 106 Businesses connected with the community projects and providing support to 40 local charities.
  • April 2021 to March 2022: 'Westminster Wheels' sponsorship to support 30 NEETS into training and employment and donate 150 free bikes to the community.
  • June to November 2020: 'Digital Futures', pooled funding to purchase over 1,850 laptops to meet the needs of disadvantaged students on free meals during lockdown.
  • March to June 2020: 'Unity Works', leveraged funding for a social enterprise, The Unity Works, to produce 65,000 meals for the homeless residents.
