Cycle loan scheme

Try Before You Bike is an innovative and user-friendly cycle loan programme. It is specifically designed to encourage people to cycle.

This flexible cycle loan enables residents to hire a bicycle or cargo cycle from a range of models, against a monthly subscription. Users can then choose to buy along with the equipment after trying it out, and hire fees are then deducted from the cost.

• free friendly delivery to your door with accessories, helmet, lights and lock, expert guidance and a bespoke training session of up to two hours.
• no deposit or hidden fees
• affordable purchase options and Cycle To Work available
• free return collection, if you decide the bike is not for you
• support and encouragement to help you get confident on the roads

Additional support for low-income residents is available on bicycles and folding bikes, including a free 3-month trial and 1-2-1 cycle training on delivery.

We also offer free cycling courses by approved Bikeability instructors to anyone who lives, works or studies in Westminster. Sessions are available for individuals or groups and are tailored to your riding experience and needs.
