This page provides suicide prevention support for adults in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea during difficult times. There is also a list of national organisations that may have local branches.

Westminster Talking Therapies  

(Westminster only).

Westminster Talking Therapies are delivered by CNWL mental health trust.  They offer free confidential cognitive behavioural therapy group and one to one sessions for residents who are 16 years old and over.  If you are finding your thoughts and feelings are making it difficult to cope with life you can refer yourself to the TalkingTherapies service.

Community Living Well Service - Talking Therapies

(RBKC, Queens Park and Paddington areas) 

Talking Therapies are one part of the Community Living Well Service. They offer free, confidential group and one to one CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) sessions delivered by psychological wellbeing practioners to support good mental health. Telephone, video call or in person appointments are available.

Addiction – SMART Recovery 

SMART holds both face-to-face and online meetings which support people in managing harmful addictive behaviour. The SMART Recovery Programme helps individuals and family members of those who are struggling. They also have women-only meetings and those specifically for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBTQ+ Helpline. We are a safe space for anyone to openly discuss sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional wellbeing.

They are improving Deaf people's Health and wellbeing. The services offer support through mental health challenges, domestic abuse, and more.

Dual Diagnosis Hub 

We develop and signpost online information, tools and recovery resources for all support groups, including people with dual diagnosis – a co-occurring mental health and addiction issue.

Free, non-residential therapy and support for men aged 18 and over in suicidal crisis. Support is delivered face to face at one of two centres in Liverpool and London.

SurvivorsUK 

We provide a national online helpline, and individual and group counselling for boys, men and non-binary people aged 13 and over who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. We also offer emotional support through the justice system, support for friends and families of survivors, and training for professionals and organisations.

Smile of a King

'Smile of a King' aims to support the mental health of Afro-Caribbean men in London. They liaise with a collocative of counsellors/therapists. A referral is for at least three months (12 sessions), and for men recently released from prison.
