Resident permits for motorcycles

Find out where you can park your motorcycle with a resident permit and how to apply for one.

With a resident permit for a motorcycle you can park without further charge in any motorcycle bay city wide. You can also park in the following bays within your zone:

  • resident bays
  • shared-use bays
  • pay to park bays (without further charge during the first and last hour of controls)

Displaying your permit

Resident permits for motorcycles are virtual. Electronic resident permits mean you don't need to display a physical permit on your motorcycle.

If your motorcycle is registered on the same permit as your car, the motorcycle will be issued with an electronic permit. However you will still need to display the paper permit in your car.

Annual charge

The annual charge for a motorcycle resident permit is £57.
