Holocaust Memorial Day 2024

Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. Fragility of Freedom is the theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2024.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Adam Hug, said:

On Holocaust Memorial Day (Saturday, 27 January) we remember those millions of Jews and other victims murdered by the Nazis and the victims of later atrocities in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur. Westminster City Council is working to promote understanding between all our communities and tackle extremism.

The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Patricia McAllister, said:

This weekend, we mark Holocaust Memorial Day. It gives an opportunity for everyone who calls Westminster home to come together to learn lessons from the past to strive for a safer, better futurer.
