Westminster City Council will be funding activities and food for children and young people during the upcoming half-term from 23rd to 27th October.

The funding enables 28 local organisations to deliver activities in Westminster including for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Children can participate in sport, music, drama and day trips, and each child will receive a healthy, nutritious meal.

The Council’s City Lions team will also be putting on an exciting 3 days of activities for young people. Highlights include creative art workshops at The Artist’s Gardens and boxing and calisthenics with Boxthenix Community Project.

Councillor Tim Roca, Cabinet Member for Young People and Learning said:

We believe that it’s really important to support families in the half-term holidays especially during the current cost of living crisis.

There are so many brilliant activities going on this October half-term and I encourage families to check out the Our City website where all activities are advertised.

I also want to highlight the great work of the Council’s City Lions team and the multiple activities they are currently organising including October Holiday Programme, October Creative Challenge and Start Your Script Workshop.
