Lunar New Year

London hosts the most spectacular annual celebrations of the Lunar and Chinese New Year outside Asia, and our volunteers were on hand to support on the day.

Sir Simon Milton Foundation Tea Dance

Over 1,000 residents joined the Sir Simon Milton Foundation Tea Dance on 11 December 2022 at the stunning Great Room in The Grosvenor House Hotel. The event was buzzing with music, singing and dancing, accompanied by a delicious afternoon tea.

Westminster Connects at West End Live

Our volunteers were on hand to help with West End Live, a weekend of performances from top musicals, live and free in Trafalgar Square. Our volunteers welcomed visitors, directed them to accessible viewing areas and helped to answer any questions.

Festival of Spring thank you event

London Chinatown Chinese Association (LCCA) and Westminster Connects organised a successful ‘Thank you’ celebration at the Lord Mayor’s Parlour with the Mayor and LCCA committee members. Volunteers shared some of their highlights from the festival.

London's New Year’s Day Parade

Westminster Connects were invited to support London's New Year’s Day Parade on 1 January 2023. 35 enthusiastic volunteers supported in various roles across the day

Festive Celebration

We hosted a Westminster Connects Festive Celebration thank you event, to show our appreciation to the volunteers who are doing great work in our community.

Christmas hampers

We delivered 800 hampers to older residents across the city to help spread some festive cheer to some vulnerable and isolated residents. With thanks to Victoria BID and The Sir Simon Milton Foundation for donating the hampers.

Westminster dog show

Lots of local dogs competed at the Silver Sunday Dog Show in Paddington Recreation Ground and showed off in categories like ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home’.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Westminster Connects staff and volunteers were proud to be part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, a significant and historical event.
