Make a nomination for a green plaque

Thank you for your interest in the Westminster green plaques scheme.

Whilst all green plaque requests will be reviewed and considered on an individual basis, we reserve the right to refuse or amend a nomination in line with the criteria, context and suitability for the surrounding built environment.

Nomination details

Please use this section to provide the details of the person, event or building you wish to see commemorated.

Would the plaque be installed at ground floor or first floor level?
Is this a listed building?
Do you have permission from the building owner to install the plaque?
Plaques cannot be installed without building owner permission. Whilst we can contact freeholders on your behalf, we cannot guarantee permission will be granted.
If you have submitted your nomination to any other organisations, such as English Heritage, please let us know, including the current situation or their response to your nomination.
If there are any interested parties connected to your nomination, please let us know who they are and in what capacity they are involved. This may be a community group, historical society, commercial company or any other relevant parties.

Funding
The sponsorship fee is currently £3,500 plus vat. Please tick this box to confirm that funding is in place for your Green Plaque.

Please let us know any proposed text for the Green Plaque. We suggest approximately 25 words or less to fit the size of the plaque. Please note that this is for draft purposes only and Westminster City Council reserves the right to suggest an alternative location for the plaque or to edit the text to ensure it is visible, clear and in line with our other Green Plaques. Logos cannot be included.
