Registering a sublet/tenancy agreement

You can register your tenancy agreement or renewal online by completing the below form.

Please note that it is optional for you to upload a copy of your tenancy agreement or Gas Safe Certificate when using this online form. However, it is mandatory for us to receive a copy of these documents within 21 days of submission. If you choose not upload these documents today, you will need to forward them to our Leasehold Operations team by post to South Service Centre, 137 Lupus Street, London SW1V 3HE or by email to [email protected].

Leaseholders are responsible for ensuring their tenants understand that their names will be registered with the local authority in order to meet their obligations to notify any subletting arrangements. Information registered will include the name and contact details of the tenant. Leaseholders are obliged to notify the authority of any changes to their tenancy arrangements. The information will be kept in line with council retention policies, and is subject to all data protection laws with respect to the processing of personal data.

Please follow the instructions under the heading "View or pay your Westminster housing rent or service charges" and quote your reference which can be found on your latest service charge bill.

If this is a renewal of an existing tenancy agreement that you have registered with Westminster City Council, then you do not need to pay this fee.
