Changing Futures privacy notice

Find out how we will use and process your data if you are involved with the Changing Futures programme.

The Changing Futures programme is a joint initiative by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and The National Lottery Community Fund.

The programme is designed to develop innovative approaches and deliver lasting change in the way local services work together to respond and to help people who experience multiple disadvantages. The Changing Futures programme aims to achieve a more joined-up, person-centred approach to local delivery, with a commitment to improving both outcomes and value for money, by addressing issues early and in a collaborative way. Westminster City Council is working with several partners to deliver the Changing Futures programme.

This privacy notice aims to make you aware of how your data is used, and, in doing so provide you with the necessary assurance that the council takes data protection seriously. Your personal data will be collected only because of your participation in the Changing Futures programme.

The type of personal data we plan to collect include your basic details, for example:

  • name
  • address
  •  age
  • any relevant factors, such as any medical issues which impact on your participation
  • NHS number (collected through batch number tracing against NHS data)

We may ask for other information to meet our diversity and inclusion commitments. Some of the information may be anonymised for statistical and research purposes.

We want to understand how well the programme is doing, and are likely to seek your views, and if required, present case studies for which your cooperation will be sought. Therefore, it is likely that in addition to your participation in the programme delivery work, we may contact you to gauge your opinion and assessment of our projects. This forms as part of our continuous improvement commitment.

Your personal data will be shared with organisations such as Expert Links, SHP and Air Network who will work with us to deliver this programme as our service providers. In many cases they will also need your information to undertake basic administration, such as setting up meetings, sending out invites, obtaining your feedback, to name but a few activities which are likely to involve your personal data.

Information may also be shared with the Whole Systems Integrated Care Record (WSIC) to retrieve de-identified health outcomes prevalent across your peer group. View the council's privacy notice for WSIC.

The council will not use the information you provide for other purposes. The council will not share your data with third parties outside of those affiliated to the Programme, unless we are legally obliged to, or it is lawful to do so. In any event the council will inform you of any significant changes to the processing of your data as soon as it is reasonably practicable.

If you would like to know more about how the council processes personal data, please refer to Westminster Council’s online fair processing notice.
