Update on parking on and around estates

Parking enforcement throughout the borough has resumed, and this includes on housing estates where it is safe to do so.

It is more important than ever that you only park where permitted, and where required have your valid permits on display for our parking marshals to see. Find more information about parking and Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) in your area.

If you have regular visitors to your home such as carers, please make sure that their permits are on display and they are using the correct bays.

We are selling visitor parking scratch cards by telephone only and these are sent out via Royal Mail. When calling, select option 1 to order and make a payment. Please allow 5-7 working days for permits to be delivered.

We are continuing to offer free parking to key health workers – allowing doctors, nurses and paramedics – to continue travelling to work safely. This is made possible through the support of all other motorists who now return to the same parking rules that were in place before the lockdown. We appreciate everyone’s support with this in order to ensure free parking for health workers can continue.

We are also making a series of changes to ensure that our highways are safe and easy to use for people travelling in and out of the city, allowing the public to travel safely whilst following essential public health guidance.
