Connected to the children's centre hubs in Westminster are partner sites that also provide services and activities for you to use, all within walking distance of one another.
We’re improving the support you and your family receive in Westminster. As part of this, we are creating three Family Hubs offering more support and advice that now includes families with children up to 19 years of age.
The first Family Hub opened at the Bessborough Centre at 1 Bessborough Street in Pimlico in the summer of 2018.
Next year, there are plans to open hubs at Children’s Centre sites at the Portman Centre and Queens Park Children’s Centre. In preparation for this, the Portman Early Childhood Centre has moved out of its premises to allow renovation work to take place. Whilst this work is carried out their services will be offered nearby at 4 Lilestone Street, NW8 8SU. All the Children’s Centre telephone numbers have stayed the same. Please get in touch if you would like to know more about what is on offer.
Children's centres are open five days a week. Each venue has set opening hours and an activities calendar, so you can plan when you and your family will attend.

All Westminster families who have a child aged 0 to 5 years old can use the children's centres.
The first three years of a child's life are an important time for learning to talk, because the brain is developing so quickly. Children can start learning more than one language before they turn one.
Talk to your child in your strongest language(s) from birth onwards. Once your child knows their home language well, they can usually learn another one quickly.
