With London Craft Week taking place from 4 to the 10 October 2021 and a huge surge in making things since the pandemic, we’ve rounded up our favourite arts and crafts activities to do in Westminster for an alternative day out with friends.

Botanical Blueprint: Cyanotype Printmaking Workshop in Soho

Join artist Magda Kuca and learn to create your own cyanotype blueprints from plants and patterns. This early form of photography creates imprints of shapes in vivid shades of blue and white, making for beautiful cards, wall prints and fabric - all while learning about the fascinating history of photography.

Studio Painting Experience in Belgravia

Head to these swanky studios in Eccleston Yards, a few minutes walk from both Victoria and Sloane Square stations, and enjoy a few hours painting under the guidance of a professional artist. Choose a photo and have it projected onto the canvas, where you’ll be able to recreate it in acrylic paints with your own creative twist. Beginner’s Illustration with May Van Millingen in Pimlico

Located in Daylesford Organic Farmshop at Brompton Cross, this one-off event on 9th November is part of a series of creative activities which take place in the space. Over the course of two hours you will be taught various drawing approaches to explore and understand line, tone, measurement, texture and composition using in life drawing.
