Halloween is back with a vengeance this year, with everything from Transylvanian bar take-overs to spider-infested nature trails to add to the fun. With the spookiest day of the year just round the corner, the City of Westminster is full of hair-raising activities for all the family. Here are some of our favourites - fancy dress encouraged!
Creepy crawly discovery day in Hyde Park
A variety of free activities are being laid on for children from Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 October, the perfect half term outing to get them in the mood for Halloween. There’ll be spooky interactive stories, eerie nature trails, potion making using herbs and plants from the garden, and much more. Find out more about the creepy crawly day.
Pergola’s Transylvanian castle
The much-loved flower-festooned venue in Paddington will take on a darker twist for the weekend of Halloween, with Octoberfest’s Bavarian Beer Hall becoming a Transylvanian Castle for one weekend only. Madame Tussauds’ Alien: Escape Experience
Lifelike waxwork figures are already rather creepy, but fans of the Alien movies will find new horrors in the Marylebone museum this Halloween. Pumpkin selfies in Covent Garden
Fill your Instagram feed with aesthetically pleasing autumnal pics from Covent Garden, which is transformed with a lavish pumpkin display at this time of year. Spooktacular Halloween quiz in Green Park
Conference centres can be scary places, especially when kitted out for a spooky quiz focusing on all thing’s horror.
