Waste storage - planning advice

The council is committed to keeping Westminster an attractive place to live, visit and work; clean streets is one of our primary objectives.

All planning applications must demonstrate that adequate provision has been made for the storage of waste and recyclable materials and, where possible, include off-street waste collection.

Architects should use our waste storage requirements guide (PDF, 1MB) which outline the council's requirements and give examples of suitable waste management equipment.

Architects should also refer to the council's environment planning policies mentioned in the adopted UDP.
