Starting secondary school from September 2019

Secondary transfer 2019

If your child has just started year 6, he or she will be moving on to secondary school in September 2019.

Below you will find helpful tools to assist you in your research.  You are strongly advised to read the 'Your choice for secondary education' brochure before you submit your application.

Applying online

The eAdmissionsen website is now open for you to apply online.

The national closing date is Wednesday 31 October 2018, and the outcomes will be available during the evening of Friday 1 March 2019.

Resources

The hints and tips leaflet provides you with some basic information as a starting point for your research into schools. It also includes open days and evenings, as well as test dates for Westminster secondary schools.

The 'Your choice for secondary education' brochure contains detailed information on the admissions process and how places are allocated for Westminster schools.

We have presentations to dispel some common myths, provide an overview of the process and assist you in making realistic preferences.

There are separate presentations for those living in the North or South of Westminster. Where relevant, distance cut-off maps are provided.

You will not be able to submit a secondary transfer application listing Ark King Solomon Academy.

This is an all-through school, meaning children attending the primary school automatically transfer to the secondary school. There are no places available for external applicants.

Other local schools that offer the majority of their places on a distance basis are Westminster Academy, Paddington Academy and Harris Academy St John's Wood.
