Team Westminster Active

If you’re interested in sport (on the field or behind the scenes), Team Westminster Active can help you find a voluntary role with a sports club or physical activity group. Develop your skills, support sporting activity and have fun while you're doing it!

Team Westminster Ambassadors

Volunteer in the heart of London at some of the capital’s most exciting events with the Team Westminster Ambassadors. West End LIVE!, the London Marathon and the Trooping of the Colour are just some of the opportunities available.

Team Westminster Social Action

If you're strapped for time but want to make a difference in your local area, Social Action's one-off no-strings volunteering is ideal for you! Join Team Westminster Social Action for one-off volunteering opportunities like transforming your local park or  organising  a local street party.

2. Team Westminster Active for volunteers

Get involved in sports-related volunteering and play a key role in delivering or supporting sports sessions in Westminster. There are also lots of roles available helping with day-to-day activities without the need to participate in the sports themselves, including administration, finance, marketing and web development – perfect if you're looking for career experience. You can find out about some of the opportunities available by signing up to our fortnightly newsletter. (We won't share your details with anyone and you can unsubscribe at any time.)

For volunteers

  1. Take a look at the available opportunities here.
  2. Click "view" to see more about an opportunity.
  3. If you would like to volunteer in that role, click "register my interest". (You can also save it for later)
  4. The organisation will get in touch with you to explain further details, or find out more about you.
  5. If you're happy with the role, you'll be invited to an informal meeting where you can discuss becoming a volunteer with the organisation.
  6. Once you're settled, contact us to let us know that you've started - this is really important as it means we can tell the people that fund us that we've helped people get into volunteering.

Come and meet us

You can talk to us face-to-face at one of our drop-ins. A drop-in is a chance for you to talk to us in person about any questions you have surrounding volunteering. There's no obligation, and it's entirely free.

Our drop-ins take place alternate Wednesdays starting from 27 June at Pimlico Centre, Lupus Street, SW1V 3AT. Come along any time between 3.30pm and 6pm or get a reminder by booking a slot here.
