Try something new - Silver Sunday 2017 events

Silver Sunday took place on Sunday 1 October 2017. Thank you to all event organisers, volunteers and all those that took part. Silver Sunday was set up in 2012 by former Lord Mayor and Westminster’s Champion for Older People, Cllr Christabel Flight, to combat loneliness in older people so they can try a new activity and make new friends. The day was celebrated nationally and is supported by the Sir Simon Milton Foundation.

Silver Sunday events still available

Events are still taking place in October. All are free or low-cost, and take place in Westminster. Lots of people attend events on their own, so don’t worry if you are coming alone. You can go to as many events and activities as you like, there’s no limit. Carers of any age are welcome to attend too but please book beforehand.
