Pop-up 'makers market' at Westminster City Hall

On Wednesday 11 December 2019, Westminster Employment Service (WES) hosted a festive pop-up makers market at Westminster City Hall, giving an opportunity for attendees to showcase their creative talents to council staff.

Stalls celebrated the festive season by selling Christmas cards, decorations, calendars, candles, floral wreaths and art work. There was also a non-festive area where stalls exhibited hat designs, fine art, jewellery, fashion clothes, accessories and handbags.

Council staff were able to pick up some Christmas presents and clients were able to network, promote their products and make some extra money in time for Christmas.

Great interest from employees looking for more products to purchase when we were already sold out. More orders were received and contacts.
I took part in a market for the first time and it was a great experience. Next time I will definitely have business cards.

It was a great venue and I got to do a bit of networking and marketing which is always a positive as I was able to reach my target audience. it was the first of its kind so it can only get better. All round I enjoyed it and look forward to more in future
