Parking permit refunds

You may be entitled to a resident permit refund if:

  • your application is unsuccessful and you’ve had no permit issued
  • you no longer require your annual permit because you’ve moved out of Westminster or sold your vehicle (a £10 admin fee applies)
  • you have switched vehicle types and qualify for a cheaper or free resident permit (a £10 admin fee applies)
  • you were issued a temporary permit which you no longer need and have provided all the documents required for a full annual permit (a £10 admin fee applies)

Apply for a refund

Please return completed applications with all relevant copies of proof documents and payment to Permits Administration, PO Box 734, Redhill, RH1 9FP.

You’ll only receive a refund once you’ve returned your permit to us.

The following conditions apply:

  • the refund is returned to the card used to make payment (if this card has since expired, you will need to make the request by post)
  • refunds are issued for unused time only which is calculated from the date we receive your returned permit
  • where the admin fee applies, we’ll deduct this from your refund
  • if you’re changing to a cheaper or free permit type, we’ll refund you the unused time from the date of change, once all proof documents have been received

Refunds take up to 14 days to be processed.
