Our new housing service

Our new mobile housing service, Westminster on Wheels, is visiting residents on their doorsteps to offer help and assistance with any issues.

This is part of the change in approach since CityWest Homes housing services came back into the council on 1 April. One of our key aims is to be more visible on estates - that's why we created Westminster on Wheels, a mobile housing service dedicated to helping residents closer to their homes. Through the first phase of Westminster on Wheels, we have supported with a wide range of issues such as leaks, parking and employment.

The bus is open between 10am and 7pm, and is manned by experts from relevant teams who aim to help and support residents quickly. The final dates and locations for the first phase will be 19 June at Abbotts Manor in Pimlico, and 26 June at the Brunel Estate in Westbourne Park.

Further dates will be added as part of the second phase of Westminster on Wheels, covering the remaining estates on a fortnightly basis from July to December 2019. Residents will be contacted soon with the new dates.

Residents can come on board to:

  • meet members of their housing team
  • report or enquire about a repair
  • meet members of the income team who can help with money matters
  • talk to our anti-social behaviour team
  • meet the contractors and partners who work on your estate
  • find out about employment and education opportunities

Take a look at the Housing section of our website to find more information on how the service can support you.

CityWest Homes ran Westminster City Council’s housing services from 2002 to 1 April 2019. There are 12,000 social housing tenants and 9,000 leaseholders in properties that were formerly managed by CityWest Homes, who are now supported by Westminster City Council Housing Services.
