Tuesday group are currently fund raising for an exciting residential trip that will commence in the Summer of 2021. They are aiming to raise over £3000 to cover the cost of an enriching and exciting trip for young people leaving care in Westminster. The residential will include friendship and team building activities, introspective sessions and games. In line with their dedication to prepare care leavers for independence, there will also be lessons on cooking skills, where the young people will make and share some amazing recipes.
One of the reasons I love my job is because it allows me to support young people to achieve their dreams and reach their goals. Tuesday Group is fantastic as it really prepares young people for independence whilst providing that extra layer of insulation that makes them feel free to express themselves and fulfil their ambitions. I am in awe of how much I have learnt from being part of such a talented and special group. With your help we can do so much more, we can provide young people with activities, friendships and experience that will give them memories that will last forever. Please donate to our Summer Residential 2021."
Alexander Whalley, Education and Employment Coordinator for Westminster City Council’s Looked After Children and Leaving Care Service.
