Whitehall Business Improvement District Successful Ballot

Westminster City Council was appointed to hold a ballot for the proposed Whitehall Business Improvement District in the area covering Whitehall. Today it was announced that the proposed BID had been successful in its ballot, achieving 19 out of 20 votes. The majority of the Business ratepayers in the proposed BID area who voted, voted in favour of the proposal, both by aggregate rateable value and numbers voting.

The Business Improvement District for Whitehall will commence from 1st April 2021 and will run for a two year term.

The council has a statutory duty to hold BID ballots for any BID proposals. The ballot opened on 28th January 2021 and closed at 5pm on 25th February 2021. The result was declared on 26th February 2021.
