Stabbing incident in Leicester Square

Cllr Aicha Less, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Children and Public Protection, said:

We are very concerned to hear about the stabbing incidents in Leicester Square today, 12 August. Our thoughts are with all those affected, and we wish a speedy recovery to the mother and daughter who have been taken to hospital.

We also commend the brave actions of members of the public and the police for apprehending the suspect and then taking them into custody. We will continue to work closely with the local police on this matter as people’s safety is a top priority.
