Moroccan and Libyan disasters

Leader of the Council, Adam Hug, said: 

Terrible scenes of devastation in Morocco following the earthquake. A deeply worrying time for the Moroccan community across Westminster with fears the news could get worse. The council is ready to help families here in any way we can.

You can also contact the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in London on 020 7008 5000.

How you can help

You can help people most affected by the crisis by making a donation to the Islamic Relief Morocco Earthquake Appeal. Find out how you can help. 

You can make a donation to the Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women's Centre's earthquake appeal.

Other charities are supporting those living in affected areas. You can find more on the Disasters Emergency Committee website.

Libya floods

On Sunday 10 September, floods burst two dams in Derma, which has killed many thousands of people.
