Pupils across Westminster are collecting their GCSE results at our excellent City of Westminster Schools today, and there are many incredible achievements to celebrate and highlight.
Westminster City School students James, Adebayo and Akash announced their results live on BBC Radio London to host Eddie Nestor.
Akash received mostly nines and one eight in his GCSEs, equivalent to A*s. Adebayo also received mostly nines, a couple of eights, a seven and a six. He said he wants to go to university to study neurology.
James received eights, nines and one seven in his GCSEs, he said: "Coming into this I was really nervous, but when I got my results and saw them I was really happy and proud."

Pupils at Beachcroft Academy were all smiles as they collected their GCSE results.
Joshua secured eight qualifications at level two, including grade 5s in English and maths, and a grade 6 in history. He is going to sixth form to study History and Politics at A level.
Khaled secured nine qualifications with grade 5 in English and maths. He is going to King Solomon Sixth Form to study level 3 courses. Khaled will also continue to work with Pan Intercultural Arts and their young person’s drama acting group.

“Congratulations to our Year 11 students whose hard work over the last two years has seen them achieve their well-deserved GCSE results. At a time of such unprecedented challenges, this remarkable year-group has shown great character, resilience and resolve to achieve this level of academic performance.”
Students at Harris Academy St. John's Wood are celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE results today.
Commenting on their success, Principal, Ms Green, said:
"Over the past 18 months, our students have shown remarkable resilience and positivity. These results are even more impressive given the challenges of the pandemic and they have all worked so hard to get these fantastic results. Their success is due to their continued hard work, the dedicated teaching they have received and the encouragement of their parents and families.
"Congratulations to our whole Year 11 group, we wish our students all the very best of luck as they take their next steps. I look forward to seeing many of them in our 6th Form where they will continue to flourish."
At Marylebone Boys' School, 75% of pupils received a grade 5-9 in English and Maths. Shashwat was awarded eleven grade nines, Toma received eight grade nines and three grade eights and Anas got nine grade nines and two grade eights.
At Paddington Academy, a record number of pupils are staying on to the Sixth Form at Paddington Academy to study both A Level and BTEC National courses.
