The fund is available to all voluntary organisations, resident, faith and community groups within Westminster. This includes schools and other establishments which care for Westminster residents (such as residential care homes).
All individual applications must be for under £10,000, and must benefit residents in a neighbourhood in Westminster.
Your project must support one of these themes:
- community leadership
- community cohesion and pride in your community
- environment and greening
- young people
We cannot accept bids for funds supporting revenue costs of an organisation, or bids from individuals. All projects must finish by end of July 2020.
If shortlisted, all organisations bidding for funding will be subject to legal and financial due diligence.
For projects which are for single wards or smaller neighbourhood areas, the ward budget programme might be more appropriate for funding.

There were 4 rounds of bidding over the 2 year period.
All bids will be considered by officers from the council. Final decisions on funding will be decided by a Member Board, chaired by Councillor Iain Bott, Cabinet Member for Sports, Culture and Community.
The first round finished in March 2018.
The second round finished in August 2018.
The third round finished in March 2019.
The My Westminster Fund has helped over 60 local community organisations. Check out what some of our previous successful applicants had to say about how the fund helped get their projects off the ground.
We were so pleased to receive funding as it has helped getting our Cake Before Therapy pop-up café into the community. We were able to provide a safe space for people to talk about mental health and wellbeing which has gone down a treat.

Being successful in the #MyWestminster Fund meant that we were able to provide great trips for children who attend our music therapy group. We’ve been able to put the funding to good use to make sure we’re continuing to have a positive impact on our local community.
