Lydford proposals

Lydford Community Hall

Emerging proposals

We're proposing to build new affordable homes and a re-provide a community hall at Lydford Estate.

Our proposals would provide much needed new affordable homes for Westminster residents on the site of the current Lydford Community Hall and the surrounding concrete space. We are also proposing to re-provide the community hall on the same site.

We would like to hear what you think of our proposals at our next drop-in sessions.

Update and next steps

04 May 2020

Thank you to everyone who attended the consultations in January 2020 and provided us with valuable feedback on our early proposals.

At the next stage of consultation, we will be holding a design workshop with residents, in addition to further public drop-in sessions before we submit our planning application. We are also developing our online consultation methods, including bespoke websites, webinars, online meetings, and materials which can be circulated by post, email or online. These channels will be used alongside our traditional in-person meetings and drop-in sessions to give you more ways to give us your feedback.

To achieve the highest design standards for our residents, we are currently procuring a new architect. We have therefore extended the consultation timeline and will not progress to the next stage of consultation until later in the year.

We will be in touch later this year to let you know when the next stage of consultation will be and how you can get involved!

If you were  unable to attend our first drop-in session, you can download the boards here (PDF, 9.5MB) and share any thoughts or feedback on our proposals by emailing us at lydford@westminster.gov.uk
