It's free to join libraries and borrow books, but read about our charges for some services such as overdue items and photocopying.

Customers with disabilities preventing them from using computer terminals are entitled to requests at the self-service concessionary rate.

  • standard: £1.10 plus 10p per page
  • concessions: 55p plus 10p per page
  • periodicals from British Library: £7 plus 10p per page

Other reservation fees
  • homework items reserved by anyone 17 and under are free
  • audio materials to blind or partially sighted users and Home Library Service customers are free
