Discover Westminster’s hidden histories on a guided walk

Walking is one of the easiest way to make a small change that can add up to big health benefits.

This weekend, 24 to 25 January, Walk4Life are offering over 40 different guided walks taking in some of Westminster’s quirkiest sights and hidden histories for free.

Walk back through London's riverside history from boat builders and prisons, discover where Wookey the Witch lives, where Paddington Bear arrived, and discover streets that have hardly changed in 300 years.

All walks are free, open to all ages and no booking is required – simply turn up, bring your friends, family or dog and join in!

Stay active in 2015

100’s of hours of free and low cost sport

There’s also over 100 hours of free sport every week in Westminster, including free swimming for under 19s and a full Neighbourhood Sports Programme. You can find details in our Active Westminster Guide, or email for more information.

Park makers

Westminster Park Makers can help you get active in the open air at your local park. All activities are free, including bootcamp, sessions for families, teenagers and over 65’s – no need to book simply turn up and join in.

Save money getting fit in 2015

If you are a Westminster City Save member you can also save up to 65% on sport and leisure activities including gym sessions, swimming and court and pitch hire. Westminster City Save is a free membership scheme for residents that offers local discounts and savings to help you make the most out of your city.

You can also sign up for a free Active Westminster Card for discounts at your local Leisure Centre.
