Join Team Westminster Ambassadors

Join our friendly group of volunteers, the Team Westminster Ambassadors, who provide event and local information to members of the public at high profile events throughout Westminster. The ambassadors cover large-scale sporting, cultural and ceremonial events, as well as small-scale charity and community gatherings or walks. Ambassadors act as on-the-ground eyes and ears, while being a friendly face to welcome visitors and occasionally lending a helping hand, such as handing out medals or cheering people on.

Meet people from all walks of life and showcase the best of the city, while having fun and making a valuable contribution to your community.

What are the skills and requirements needed to be an ambassador?

  • an approachable, confident and outgoing personality
  • good local knowledge of Westminster, such as ATM locations, tube stations, tourist spots, and how to find your way by foot
  • good level of conversational English
  • over the age of 18
  • eligible to volunteer in the UK under HM Government’s definitions
